Co-Director of Operations and Grants Management
The WVACHS is an interdisciplinary practice-based research network (PBRN) of primary care clinicians, administrators, and public health leaders engaged in research to improve health and health care systems for West Virginians, particularly those who are underserved. The WVACHS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
The Co-Director of Operations and Grants Management will report to the WVACHS Board of Directors and will collaborate with the Co-Director of Research on grant applications, management and reporting.
The Co-Director of Operations and Grants Management will be responsible for the daily management of business
of the WVACHS and serve as main point of contact for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Grant Management and Reporting for the Appalachian Pulmonary Health Project (APHP):

Manage transition of APHP grants to the WVACHS, including: ensure transfer of existing program and finance data; set up bookkeeping and manage all payables and receivables; liaison with APHP lead contact person regarding meeting schedules, agendas, and record retention; collaborate on revising APHP budget; submit APHP grant renewal applications and reports; and collaborate with APHP leadership on strategic planning.

Financial and Organizational Management:

Manage ongoing WVACHS grants and grant revisions.

Prepare and submit applications for funding, interact with funders as needed through the grant period, and submit required interim and final reports.

Collaborate with Treasurer on funding, budgeting, grants management, and ongoing financial management of the organization.

Prepare agendas for regular business meetings in collaboration with WVACHS President/Board Chair and ensure that minutes are maintained.

Develop and maintain WVACHS social media presence.

Within 6 months, collaborate with Board Treasurer to assume bookkeeping tasks now managed by the Treasurer.

Education and experience requirements:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field plus experience in financial management, grant writing, grants management, and non-profit management. Self-directed and skilled in interpersonal communication.
Position Details:
This is an independent contractor position and is expected to be a part-time position of 20-40 hours per month (0.125 FTE - .25 FTE). The WVACHS does not have a physical office; work will be done remotely, with occasional in-person meetings.
Compensation to be negotiated.
