WVACHS publishes paper on ethical considerations in rural practice-based research
Adam Baus, PhD, Tracy Hendershot, MD, Martha Carter, DHSc, MBA, APRN, CNM, and Laura Boone, JD, published an article in the Marshall Journal of Medicine on ethical considerations in conducting rural practice-based research. This research takes an applied approach by providing primary care partners with a research evaluation tool whereby they can carefully evaluate and consider practice-based research opportunities. The tool gives pause to the needs of patients, providers, and communities in the research process, and helps ensure an empowered voice on the part of primary care in decision making and leadership surrounding research opportunities.
