WVACHS Welcomes Rebecca Tilson Thacker, MS, as Co-Director of Operations and Grants Management
Rebecca Tilson Thacker is a dedicated leader in rural health education, currently serving as the Program Director for the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine's Rural Health Initiative. She holds a Master of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Rebecca brings expertise in grant funding, financial management, and strategic policy development to encourage medical students to pursue careers in underserved areas of the state.
She is excited about the opportunity to expand her impact through her new role of Co-Director of Operations and Grants Management with the West Virginia Alliance for Creative Health Solutions, Inc., where she aims to further contribute to improving healthcare access and outcomes for rural communities.
Rebecca lives in Renick, WV, with her husband, young son, and daughter on their family farm along the Greenbrier River. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family on the farm or outdoors, riding horses, gardening, and farming. She is passionate about showcasing the quality of life that rural areas can provide.
